Visit a local geothermal swimming pool & Reykjavík city tour - Start at 10:30
Iceland is known for its local swimming pools, nature baths and natural hot springs.
Because we have such great access to hot water we have been using this to our advantage since the early viking settlement.
Today there is a high percentage of local Icelanders at all ages in every town that go to the swimming pool on a very regular basis.
In the hot tub, you can find yourself in a conversation with the town mayor, discussing everything from local politics to the most casual topics. So it is safe to say that the local public swimming pools are a vital part of the typical Icelandic small-town community.
Most swimming pools are equipped with hot tubs, cold tubs, saunas, kids playground, water slides etc. And of course swimming areas.

The interior design of the hotel echoes the Art Deco period. Which is a style of visual arts and architecture, which first appeared in France at the beginning of the 20th century. Characterized by a fusion of luxury and modernism, in which exclusive materials and great
